Dr Amar Singhal is Director of Cardiology at Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, New Delhi, with 37+ years of experience. His career includes interventional cardiology roles in India, the United States and Saudi Arabia, with long-term leadership at Action Hospital.
He completed MBBS at Medical College Rohtak in 1976, MD in General Medicine there in 1981, and DM in Cardiology from the Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, in 1983. He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
His clinical interests include primary and complex angioplasty, left main bifurcation intervention, rotablation, orbital atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, pacemaker and AICD implantation, and TAVI and structural heart interventions. His work also includes peripheral, renal and carotid angioplasty and balloon mitral valvotomy.
Dr Singhal received a National Merit Scholarship and was included in the 15th edition of Who's Who in The World. His memberships and fellowships include the Cardiology Society of India, American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions.
