Dr. Lakshmi Kant Tripathi

Dr. Lakshmi Kant Tripathi is Chief - Nephrology (Unit II) at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. He completed MBBS, MD and DM training at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, and also holds DNB certification in Nephrology. His academic background includes nephrology training at SGPGIMS and extensive work developing dialysis and kidney-care services.

His practice focuses on clinical nephrology, critical-care nephrology, dialysis and kidney transplantation. Artemis highlights resistant hypertension, difficult nephrotic syndromes, complicated urinary infections and high-risk renal transplantation among his areas of expertise. He is also involved in preventive nephrology, particularly for patients with metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors that can accelerate kidney damage.

Dr. Tripathi has supervised approximately 53,000 haemodialysis sessions across different centres and has helped establish nephrology departments and dialysis units in India and the Maldives.
