He completed MBBS and MS in General Surgery at Pt. BD Sharma Medical College, Rohtak. He then undertook three years of Surgical Oncology training at IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi, followed by a two-year HBNI fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Da Vinci certified robotic surgeon.
His clinical work includes minimally invasive oesophageal and lung surgery, VATS, robotic thoracic surgery, surgery for tracheal tumours and tracheo-oesophageal fistula, pleural and mediastinal procedures, chest wall and sternal tumour surgery, mediastinoscopy and interventional bronchoscopy.
