Dr Rajiv C is Senior Consultant - Director, Advanced Heart Valve Centre & Interventional Cardiology at Aster Medcity Kochi. He has over 26 years of experience in interventional cardiology.
He completed MBBS at TD Medical College, Alappuzha, MD in Internal Medicine at Government Medical College, Kottayam and DM in Cardiology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences. He completed a Commonwealth Fellowship in the UK and obtained European Association of Echocardiography accreditation.
His work includes complex coronary angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, fractional flow reserve, rotablation, intravascular lithotripsy, peripheral angioplasty and stenting, aortic stent grafting and TAVI. Aster states that he has performed 20,000+ coronary angiograms and 7,500+ angioplasties.
Dr Rajiv has additional training in 3D echocardiography, IVUS, rotablation, renal denervation and percutaneous aortic valve replacement. He previously served as a professor of cardiology at Amrita Hospital Kochi. He speaks English and Malayalam.
