Dr. Sanjay Gogoi

Dr Sanjay Gogoi practises urology at Medanta, Gurugram. He has more than 25 years of experience and works on complex urological cases, including complications following earlier treatment.

His clinical training includes robotic urological surgery. His work has included a sustained focus on complex reconstructive and transplant surgery. His career has included leadership of urology and renal transplantation departments at hospitals in Colombo, Gurugram and Delhi.

He has performed more than 1,000 kidney transplants, including transplantation in patients with reconstructed bladders. His work includes uro-oncology, robotic surgery of the kidney, bladder, prostate and adrenal gland, and reconstructive urology. His work includes management of urethral strictures, congenital urinary conditions, fistulas and paediatric urology among his areas of practice.

His surgical interests also include Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy with neobladder and selected robotic kidney transplantation. He has also led urology and transplant teams at several other hospitals during his career.
