Dr. Sanjay Sarup

Dr. Sanjay Sarup is Head - Orthopaedics Unit II and Chief - Paediatric Orthopaedics & Spine Surgery at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram, with 24 years of orthopaedic experience listed by Artemis. He completed MBBS at the University of Kashmir, MS in Orthopaedics at PGIMER Chandigarh, MCh in Orthopaedics in Dundee and FRCS in Glasgow, with additional paediatric orthopaedic training in the United Kingdom.

His specialist work focuses on paediatric orthopaedic deformity, scoliosis and complex spine surgery. Artemis highlights congenital hip dislocation, clubfoot, scoliosis, kyphosis, limb-length discrepancy and other upper- and lower-limb deformities. His practice also includes adult spine surgery and selected hip and knee replacement procedures.

Dr. Sarup completed a fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics and spine surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow. He later established and developed paediatric orthopaedic services at major hospitals in Delhi NCR before joining Artemis.

His clinical scope includes reconstruction for congenital hip problems, spinal-deformity correction, clubfoot treatment, limb-lengthening procedures and management of Perthes disease and slipped capital femoral physis.

His memberships include the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of India, Indian Arthroplasty Association, Bombay Orthopaedic Society, Delhi Orthopaedic Association and spine organisations.

He speaks English. His current Artemis role is particularly relevant for children and adolescents with congenital or developmental musculoskeletal problems and for patients who need coordinated orthopaedic and spinal-deformity assessment.
