Dr Subodh Chandra Pande is Chief - Radiation Oncology & Co-Chief - Cyberknife Centre at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. His work combines clinical radiation oncology, teaching and development of specialist cancer services.
He holds DMRE and MD qualifications and completed an MD in Radiotherapy at AIIMS, New Delhi, in 1977. He later worked at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where he was involved in establishing neuro-oncology and paediatric oncology services, and at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, where he helped upgrade stereotactic radiotherapy services.
His current clinical interests include image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and PET-based techniques for cancer management. Artemis lists head and neck cancers, CNS tumours, childhood cancers and prostate cancers among his clinical focus areas, with modern teletherapy and brachytherapy procedures in his treatment scope.
His memberships include AROI, Indian Society of Oncology, Association of Medical Physicists of India, the paediatric haematology and oncology chapter of IAP, SIOP and the Histiocyte Society. He served as AROI Secretary General from 1997 to 2000 and speaks English, Hindi and Marathi.
