Dr. Varun Mittal

Dr. Varun Mittal is Head of Kidney Transplant and Associate Chief of Uro-Oncology & Robotic Surgery at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. He trained in general surgery before completing MCh in Urology and Kidney Transplant at SGPGIMS, Lucknow, DNB in Genitourinary Surgery, a fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic urology, and an observership fellowship in robotic urologic surgery at the University of Miami.

His principal clinical areas are kidney transplantation, uro-oncology and robotic urologic surgery. His transplant practice includes living-donor and deceased-donor kidney transplantation, ABO- and HLA-incompatible transplantation, and paired or swap kidney exchange. He also performs vascular-access procedures such as AV fistula creation and CAPD catheter insertion when these are required as part of renal care.

In uro-oncology, Dr. Mittal works with robotic and minimally invasive approaches for cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder and adrenal gland.
