Dr. Vikas Singhal

Dr. Vikas Singhal is Associate Director - Gastrosciences at Medanta, Gurugram. After graduating from Maulana Azad Medical College, he continued surgical training in the United Kingdom and United States, including a five-year residency at the Guthrie Clinic in Pennsylvania and fellowship training in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery at Case Medical Center in Cleveland.

His current practice focuses on bariatric and metabolic surgery, complex hernia repair and robotic gastrointestinal surgery. Medanta lists laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric bypass, fundoplication for acid reflux and gallbladder surgery among his principal procedures. He is also trained and certified in Da Vinci robotic surgery for selected minimally invasive operations.

Dr. Singhal is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. Medanta notes indexed publications in gastrointestinal surgery, editorial-board work and a best-paper award from the Journal of GI Surgery and the Society of Surgeons of the Alimentary Tract in the United States.
