Dr Ajay Sasidharan is Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. His clinical interests are breast, gynaecologic and neuro-oncology, together with stereotactic and brachytherapy techniques used within radiation oncology.
He completed MBBS at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, followed by MD in Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre in 2016. He later completed DNB in Radiation Oncology in 2021 and FRCR in Clinical Oncology from the Royal College of Radiologists, London, in 2022.
His areas of expertise include stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy, breast oncology, gynaecologic oncology and neuro-oncology. He trained as a senior resident at Tata Memorial Centre until 2019 before joining Amrita Hospital.
Dr Sasidharan was Assistant Professor at Amrita from 2019 to 2025 and became Associate Professor in 2026. His honours include Best Paper at AROICON 2019 and the Indian College of Radiation Oncology Quiz award in 2016. He belongs to AROI, the Indian Brachytherapy Society and the Royal College of Radiologists.
